Sustainable Family Farm in Kintyre - Working the land & caring for the environment since 1904.
About the business:
Sustainable Family Run Farm
In the family since 1904, fourth-generation farmer, David, runs Glencraigs Farm. With a rich family history and deep connection to the land, caring for the environment is at the heart of everything we do. We aim to make the best possible use of nutrients and enhance the environment in any way we can, always striving to improve our offering and sustainable operations.
We raise Aberdeen Angus and native short-horn cows, grow crops of oats & Spring barley, small-scale production of vegetables & rhubarb, host over 35 acres of farm woodland, and support the bee population with our array of mixed wildflowers, Sunflowers, Poppies, and Phacelia.
We supply and deliver top-quality softwood, hardwood, and peat briquettes to households throughout Kintyre, including Tarbert & Gigha. Easily order your firewood online via our farm shop.
Firewood, flowers and other seasonal produce from the farm are also available via our Farm Stall at the end of the road. Stop by if you’re passing or are local to the area.
Visitors and locals enjoy seasonal farm visits and open days to capture the beauty of the sunflowers and surroundings or take a stroll in the Diamond Jubilee woodland walk on the Farm.
